I’m the coach. I decided to develop The Coach 2K to teach people how to play the game of basketball on NBA 2K. I grew up in the state of Indiana which used to be considered basketball country. I played basketball from about fifth grade until I turned 35 years old and then I quit playing. While I played varsity basketball at my high school, it was a small school so I can’t say that I was awesome by any means. But as time went by, I developed a pretty good three point shot and have been told that I was the greatest flat footed three point shooter they ever saw. Well, I doubt it but it was a fun compliment.
I would say that I’ve watched well over two decades of NBA basketball and as a Pacer fan, experienced my share of fan frustration as well as great playoff memories. I love the game of basketball and even though the Pacers are the greatest team and may never be again, I choose to play them on NBA 2k.
While any computer game can be gamed to take advantage of the AI in the game, I personally think that the way 2k Sports has developed the game, there’s a place for someone to teach how the game should be played without using exploits or cheese as it’s called.
On this site, I will show you how to learn to play the game from scratch as I learn it completely and also teach my son to play the game as well.
